MINISTRIES: Children and Youth

Steering Team

The Children's Ministries Steering Team meets quarterly to provide oversight and leadership for the ministries that work with children and youth. In addition to the Formation Programs for Nursery, Preschoolers, School Age children and Jr Hi/Sr Hi Youth, the Steering Team plans for ongoing Outreach Projects and Educational/Support Opportunities for the Children and Families of the parish.

Nursery

Nursery Care for infants through approximately age 4 is offered at the 10:00 Sunday service. Parent volunteers and a youth staff member care for the children each Sunday. This is a great way to meet other parents of our youngest members.

Youth Group

The Trinity Youth Group is open to youth in grades six through twelve. The Youth Group meets regularly on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 4-6 PM although there are occasional changes to that schedule. The program has four areas of activity: Recreation (outdoor activities, trips, fun stuff); Outreach (community service projects; fund raising; help in the parish ministries) and “Inreach“ (spiritual questions, retreats, age-appropriate games (like “Stump the Priest“), discussions and Bible study). The activities are generated from the youth themselves and organized by a Youth Advisory Council that is made up of youth and interested adults.

The Trinity Sunday School program for 2007-2008 begins on Sunday, September 9 during the 10:00 a.m. service.
