"Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body the Church.  The bond which God establishes in Baptism is indissoluble.
Holy Baptism is appropriately administered with the Eucharist as the chief service on a Sunday or other feast.”   (from The Book of Common Prayer, p. 298)
At Trinity, we plan baptisms five times a year:  the Second Sunday of Easter, Pentecost, All Saints, and The Feast of the Baptism of our Lord.  For serious pastoral reasons baptisms may occur on other dates..
All adult candidates for baptism need a sponsor and preparation.  Candidates who are infants and young children need parents and godparents who make the promises and take the vows on behalf of their candidates.
Please approach the Rector or Assistant Rector to make arrangements for Baptism.

“Confirmation is the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a Bishop.  It is required of those to be confirmed that they have been baptized, are sufficiently instructed in the Christian Faith, are penitent for their sins, and are ready to affirm their confession of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord (BCP. P. 860).
We are moving away from a set age for this sacrament in order to observe the truth that this mature commitment is not tied to age, but to readiness and eagerness to understand and affirm the Christian faith.
Our Bishop visits every other year to administer confirmations and to receive members into the Episcopal Church.  Classes are required in preparation for this rite.
Please let the Rector or Assistant Rector know of your interest in being confirmed.
