PASTORAL CARE
At present we have two lay groups who provide pastoral care, the Lay Eucharistic Ministers and Elder Buddies.
Lay Eucharistic Ministers bring communion to those who are sick or shut-in immediately following our Sunday Worship services. Training and licensing is necessary to participate in this ministry. At present the few ministers we have typically deliver communion once a month. We are looking for additional members who are interested in this ministry.
Elder Buddies are members who form a relationship with another member who may be unable to get to church or is otherwise isolated from our church community. The ministry is one of friendship and fellowship involving an occasional visit or phone call. In some cases, buddies provide rides to church. In all cases, buddies are free and encouraged to set their limits and availability to what they can happily give.
