Building Endowment Through Planned Giving Throughout its long and cherished history, Trinity Church has benefitted greatly from the thoughtful philanthropy of parishioners and friends. The many ministries currently provided are in direct response to needs identified within the parish and within the larger community we serve. Each year, the Vestry formulates an operating budget to meet these needs. The reliance on annual gifts/pledges is significant. Taking active steps to build a strong endowment – helping to ensure that Trinity meets its mission now and in the future--has been identified by the Vestry as a priority for 2011. In the coming months, there will be communication about Planned Giving, specifically about bequests but also about gifts of life insurance policies and property. This communication will be made through the Trinity Times, the new Trinity website, and occasional presentations to the parish. Planned Giving is intentional and powerful, offering each of us the opportunity to impact how Trinity fulfills its spiritual mission in the future. |
